Entering the new millennium I found myself getting in touch with the incredible world of 3D modeling and animation through a friend of mine introducing me to a program called “True Space”. I was immediately addicted to this new world and I got those squared eyes and little sleep from gazing into computer monitors. Well, you know what I mean.
Soon I got in touch with a bigger and more complex program called “Cinema 4DXL” and I extended my skills through all these new parameters and endless possibilities.
As things grew, I moved over to “3DStudio Max” and am now working with that great program since version 4, including Biped driven animation tool Character Studio.
Besides my musical activities a friend brought me back to mechanical part-time jobs between the tours and as they found out that I was modeling in 3D in my spare time they asked me to do some engineering work on CAD “Solid Works”, which I highly appreciated.
Since then I had the great opportunity to create machines and the company also asked me to design and program their homepage and their graphics in a variety of different fields like advertising, creating corporate identity and layouts. So I found myself moving from the mechanical workshop to the office for technical design, research & development.
Also I won 2 nd place in a competition for product presentation by Solid Works with a 2-minute short animation film where I used a new model from a machine we were building at the factory. I moved it into 3DS Max for additional modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and rendering. Finally I did the editing in Adobe Premiere. We used the film for presentation at a huge Trade Fair in China. You can find it in the gallery under references...
